Chinese Orchestra (CO)I first joined Chinese Orchestra when I was in Primary 2. There were many types of chinese instruments to choose from but I loved flute the most, so I chose that.
My CO teacher, Ms Yeo, was very strict but loving. We enjoyged having her around us. She arranged parties and outings for us but I missed some of them. It was such a great fun I had when I was in CO. Though we had many rounds of practice and even got scolded by Mr Zhang and Mr Wei, I believed they meant well because they wanted us to put in our best.
All the hard work was indeed not wasted as we won Gold with honours in SYF (Singapore Youth Festival) 2008. As Ms Yeo stayed on to hear the result of the SYF, we had to go back to school. We waited anxiously for her to inform us on the final result. In the evening, she sms us the good news. Happiness surrounded me that night and I could hardly sleep.
